About the Artist

Betsy Cooper

I have been an artist as far back as I can remember. When I was in my 20's I ventured into law enforcement as a Forensic Artist. My artistic abilities were used to assist in catching criminals and to identify skeletal remains.

These days I'm excited to use my artistic talents to merge two of my favorite passions, drawing and animals... pets to be exact. I started by drawing my own pets then friends and family members asked me to draw their pets and now I am extending my hand drawn pet portraits to you!

More about prices ~

* One pet only for 8"x10" drawings.

* Add $100 to all other sizes for each additional pet included in the drawing.

* A deposit will be made to hold your position on the commission list.

* Remaining cost will be paid upon completion of portrait.

Tips on photographing your pet ~

* The lighting is key. Take your photos in a brightly lite room or outside in natural light.

* Take lots of photos so that we can select the best image for your portrait.

* Avoid taking photos with shadows.

* Take the photos at eye level with your pet facing forward or at a slight angle.

* Images should be in a high resolution 300 dpi image file in jpg format.
